The national fresh expressions team has worked with independent researchers, Eido Research, to develop a framework that measures how being a part of a fresh expression of church transforms people’s relationship with God, with their view of themselves and in their relationships with the people around them.
The video below explains more:
This pilot research was based on a relatively small sample, but the stats it revealed were encouraging. From the pilot, the Fruitfulness Framework was developed, along with a full report of what researchers found out about the impact of fresh expressions happening all over England.
First pilot research report
For an introduction and background to the development of the Fruitfulness Framework, you might like to visit this page on the main Church of England website. The 2021 research results are available to download along with a commentary from one of the Fruitfulness Framework's founders, the Revd Heather Cracknell.
Second pilot research report
In 2023, a second 'test drive' of the Framework was run with a new sample of fresh expressions. The findings report from that will be provided here soon.
